Little Dreams. Big Packages!

"We look forward to doing more great things in our town, as it deserves to be recognized for its greatness and the lovely people it is filled with."

brooke_westlakeI wasn’t sure how moving to Reno at the age of 8 would change me until I became a wife, and mother.
I moved to Reno with my mom in 1989, following my parents emotional and stressful divorce. It was for new roots for my mother and a fresh start for me to build a child-hood. I never dreamed that 24 years later I would have a wonderful job, own my own business have an amazing husband, a sweet son and a lovely place to call home.
Diving deep into the community as a high school student at (Wooster H.S.) I cheer-leaded and dedicated time to church, local community projects and began my first job at His Word Christian Book Store. I found my passion for community to be very strong. In college I took it upon myself to continue that passion and dedicated time with non-profit art groups, as well as compete for local pageant titles in the silver state for college scholarship money to help pay my way through school. I won the job and title of Miss University of Nevada Reno in 2005. I didn’t win the state title that year, but my passion for pageants and representing my community did not stop there.
My husband (Scott Kelley) and I met on Myspace in 2006 when he sent me a friend request while running for his first campaign. I admit I was smitten with him. But ultimately in this biggest little city we wouldn’t meet in person until 2008. When we did finally meet in person we talked about our passion for our home town of Reno, as well as the state, and how we both wanted to be leaders as well as providing greatness to our community. My husband served his local community in Reno from 2008 to 2012 as an elected School Board Trustee.
I began my own photography business in 2009, BMW Photography www.photography-bmw.com. I began a fulfilling career as a Sales Manager, promoted to Vice President of Sales for Computerized Screening, INC in 2008 to current. We welcomed our son Grant in 2010 at St. Mary’s and began to live our life as a family here in the biggest little city. Now twenty-four years later, we are still growing in our town. I received the title of Mrs. Nevada International 2014 to move onto nationals this July 2014, while my husband began working for the State of Nevada. This is the place we call home and plan to stay for many years to come. My husband and I feel truly blessed to be supported by so many people in the community. We look forward to doing more great things in our town, as it deserves to be recognized for its greatness and the lovely people it is filled with.
