I just want people to see that within the last five years, Reno has come up into itself. That place Bay Areans complain about when they visit? Doesn’t exist anymore. We have organic, local restaurants, coffee shops, bakeries, and a beautifully relaxed nightlife. There’s a reason I left SF to spend my perfect birthday in Reno. Pedicures at SOAK, a tea party at The Isles Teashop, movie at the Riverside theater, dinner at all-you-can-eat sushi (pick one!) or Campo, or Midtown. Dessert is a Princess Cake from Backstube. Or wake up and have a chocolate croissant and coffee from Homage. Or The Hub. Pick from any number of them. Walk around the Arboretum at Rancho San Rafael. Run around the lake at Sparks Marina. Watch the sunset from anywhere. Any day in Reno is a spectacular one. I miss it everyday.
