Big Commencement Little Limitations

The University of Nevada, Reno’s 2014 Spring Commencement conferred 2,251 degrees and certificates. There were three ceremonies, one for advanced-degree recipients Friday afternoon, May 16, and two for bachelor-degree recipients on the mornings of Friday, May 16 and Saturday, May 17. All three ceremonies were held on the University’s historic Quadrangle, located on the southern part of campus.

The University introduced the additional undergraduate Commencement ceremony last spring primarily due to dramatically larger crowds resulting from increased enrollment and improving graduation rates.

This year, the University live-streamed the two undergraduate ceremonies and the advanced degree ceremony, Closed captioning on mobile devices for the hearing impaired was also available and was accessed through a QR code provided at the event.

University graduates and their families were encouraged to join the conversation online by using the hashtag #PackPride when posting to social media.

The University congratulates all of its graduates and thanks the many supporters of the grads, staff, faculty and campus community.
